This policy explains what Multimeter ("we", "us") collects when you use the Multimeter app and multimeterapp.com, and what we do with it.
Information We Collect
When You Buy
Multimeter is sold through Apple's Mac App Store. Apple processes your payment and keeps your Apple Account and billing details under its own privacy policy. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details when you buy Multimeter, and we never see your card.
When You Use the App
The Multimeter app:
- Reads battery, system and network information from your Mac. It stays on your Mac.
- Saves your preferences, themes and meters on your Mac.
- Gets updates through the Mac App Store. The app doesn't send your battery information or settings to us.
- Contacts only the web addresses you add to meters yourself, and runs only the scripts you give it.
The app doesn't collect analytics or usage data.
When You Visit Our Website
Our server keeps standard logs, including IP addresses and browser information. We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
When You Use the Gallery
If you create an account to submit meters, we store your email address, your name if you give one, a hashed version of your password, and the meters you submit. A cookie keeps you signed in.
Meters you submit, including their names, descriptions and files, are public once approved.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Run your gallery account and show your approved meters
- Answer support requests
- Tell you about important updates, such as security fixes
We will never sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Third-Party Services
Apple
Apple sells and delivers Multimeter through the Mac App Store and handles payments, refunds and downloads. Apple's privacy policy covers how it handles your information: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Anthropic
Meters submitted to the gallery may be checked by an automated content review that uses Anthropic's API. The meter's name, description and files are sent for this check. Your account details are not.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Apple handles payments, and gallery account passwords are stored only as hashes.
Data Retention
We keep gallery account information and support emails for as long as we need them to help you. To have your data deleted, email hello@greatwork.company.
Your Rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that's wrong
- Delete your personal information
- Stop processing your personal information

Children's Privacy
Multimeter is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think we have, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
